PRODUCT DESCIPTION:
Very rare theatre exit sign lighting made by Linolite of England.
We have two of these wonderful exit signs available.They would have originally been hung and supported via a chain from the theatre ceiling.The original lamps are still in place but these lights remain untested but all complete except for the lamp cover.
We have had an electrical supplier look at these and confirm that there are lamps still available to fit if reqd.The lamp holder is also adjustable via screws to allow for different size lamps to be used however the original lamp covers (diffusers) are no longer there.
Essentially these signs could be illuminated once more if reqd but we recommend that if necessary this be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The glass is a good 6mm deep with polished and rounded edges.
The letters have been cut and etched into the glass and then a paint finish applied.
The lights still bear their original paintwork and one still has it's original manufactures linolite sticker in place.
A charming piece of English theatre history from years gone by even without the illumination these still make for amazing and useable display signs.
